Kiya is now living the life of leisure here at Ziemabora as officially "retired". She may be occasionally seen at area specialty shows in the Veteran class as she still gets excited when she sees a show lead and still has all the love for showing and desire to win as she had all of her life. She definitely is still a young dog in mind, body, and spirit no matter what her chronological age is!
Kiya is now a Canadian champion & a Best In Show UKC champion at 7 years old!
Kiya has been enjoying entering the rings again for the first time in years at 7 years old (2005). This bitch would have been a dynamic special in her earlier years! The judges can't believe she is 7 years old as she hasn't fallen apart in the least structurally nor does she miss a step! She started her UKC career in August, and finished September 10th with a bang- she went BEST IN SHOW! (Kiya won Best in Show- her kennelmate "Ginny" won Best Novice Puppy in Show)
Kiya also visited Canada for some shows and she has 5 points in one weekend, including one Best of Breed win over a male special. Not bad for an older gal!

The above photos were taken in lovely Leamington, Ontario just down the road from the hotel where we stayed for the Canadian shows.
The following month, Kiya finishes her Canadian Championship in London, ON with a Best Of Winners/Best Opposite Sex win. Kiya also went on to win Best Bred By Exhibitor in breed and a Bred By Exhibitor Group 1st!
